School-level Student Pass
Admission to an eligible school with the applicable approvals for international student intake.
IMM.14, full passport copy with at least 18 months’ validity, white-background passport photograph, recognised insurance covering at least 12 months and a stamped personal bond.
Relevant school, State Government and Education Department approvals or support letters for the school category.
Birth and relationship documents, parental passports and applicable custody, adoption, divorce or death records.
The application can be submitted by an authorised school representative, parent or legal guardian to the immigration office for the school’s location.

Higher education Student Pass
Offer from an eligible institution, academic results, immigration forms, full passport copy, photograph, insurance and personal bond.
The relevant EMGS support or approval documents for the applicable higher education route.
The published checklist specifies institution authorisation and cover letters, and a pre-VAL health report for Sarawak applications.
Confirm the submission, visa approval, entry and medical-screening sequence with the institution before travel.

Guardian or dependant application
School-level guardian eligibility may include biological or adoptive parents, legal guardians and grandparents, subject to the authority’s assessment.
Institution or school appointment/request letters, confirmation of the student’s current pass and required passports and photographs.
Applicable IMM.12 for a new application; the required renewal forms for renewals.
Recognised insurance, stamped personal bond, financial evidence such as recent three-month bank statements, and relationship or custody records.
Higher education dependants are generally limited to Master’s or PhD Student Pass holders under the published national guidance.
Guardian and dependant passes do not permit employment or business activity.
